Scammer pretending to be Telstra (Scam call) reported by Amelia
The actual Telstra number does not have a 0 in front of it. This number is just a scammer trying to scam you. I received a text that was actually from Telstra with a code. They were requesting the code. Do not give it to them just hang up.

Yes had the same call. Noted the 0 in front. When I asked them to repeat who they were calling from (Telstra Customer Care!!!) they immediately hung up.

Gift cards to give them money (Scam call) reported by Vanisha Lamarque
They called me to secure my internet line. I usually do online banking transactions. They supposedly told me that my internet connection was not secure and this was causing an issue to my banking transactions. They had no way to correct the problem unless they will get into my account and credit my account. They showed me that they credited my account with AUD1000, supposedly this was a mistake when they should have credited only AUD100. They then asked me to buy gift cards and send the numbers to them to transfer back the money to Telstra. Which I did. I gave them AUD450 worth of gift cards.
