CALLER FROM Chinese Embassy in Australia (Other) reported by John

This call is coming from the Economic & Commercial Affairs Office of the Chinese Embassy here in Australia. To verify this, see their webpage here http://au.china-embassy.org/eng/sgxx_10/lxwm/ I will add(paste in) the part page extract down below, just case this is needed by concerned persons, and for records sake. Note that this particular office also has the same number but ending in 3 4 5 6 & 7 i.e. phone numbers 02-62283962 & 02-62283963, & 02-62283964, & 02-62283965, & 02-62283966, & 02-62283967 When I called this number back TODAY (I tried 5 times,)as I had missed it this time - the number goes DEAD. This causes heightened suspicion. The caller (as I have answered this number previously)is of Chinese language. In the current political climate, these calls throws up ALARM BELLS. There is NO valid nor genuine reason to be calling unsolicted to Australian Citizens. I received a few calls from them over the last 18 months. The moment they hear my English voice they hang up. For me, it is like they are 'COLD CALLING' (but with an underlying agenda )to find people who speak Chinese. What FOR?! UNSOLICITED - DON'T ANSWER (Unsolicited call) reported by James

Calle me again TODAY. Unkwown caller and unknown (not english) Language. They are breaching 'DO NOT CALL' REGISTER. Recommend to block and report them and/or add the number to your auto reject list. This is the 3rd time in recent months for me. As my research shows this number is not known and is always unavailable (number goes dead) when trying to call back, this is a sign of caution.
