He claimed to be from my home internet provider, but when I asked him who my provider was, he hung up.

Caller saying that they are from the Australian NBN (Scam call) reported by Steven Hutchison

caller states that our Internet speed has been detected as poor performance from time to time and that they can help. I said that I would contact my own service provider and hung up. Clearly they are looking for a back door into our system by making us think there is a problem. I have seen this type of scam before.
