"Legal Assist" calling (Scam call) reported by


Indian sounding man rang (I have had this exact conversation with someone before ) saying he was from "Legal Assist" and There was a car accident I may have been involved in and entitles to claim... I stopped him there and said, "No, I know this is a scam, do not call me back." He rang ten times within the next ten minutes. I have blocked the number.

An Indian lady called from "Legal Assist" in Sydney called asking if I was in a car accident over the last 3 years. She said that a friend of mine had informed them that I was injured in a car accident. Hung up the phone when she couldn't tell me who "my friend" was but insisted the she calls me back later. Subsequently blocked the number on my mobile.

So called Accident and Claims company (ethnic lady) - Asking If I had had an accident in the last 3 years and trying to offer me compensation that I may not know I was entitled to. They had no specific information on myself and wanted dates for the accident. I have had a claim 8 months ago so they must have got this information from somewhere, however I did not seek compensation. Didn't give them any more info they tried calling back.

I just had a call from an Indian fella saying he knew i had been in a crash. Sure that is true, but he came out with my name and the date it happened. Go figure how he got the info. Some-one somewhere is selling info hey. Be careful its a scam from a so called Accident Claims Management company. Scammers all the way.
