Reclaim Department of the Australian Government (Scam call) reported by Janice - Byron Bay
Called today 20/02/17 by "Reclaim Department of Australian Government" the representative had a strong Asian accent. She said we were owed $5,659.65 (very precise) When asked, said she was calling from Sydney Australia for her manager & needed to give me a reference no. to quote in subsequent communications with their department. I sensed a scam so said "sorry, I'm hanging up now, bye!!"

I had a missed call from this number on my mobile but no message left. Also similar number called me recently - 280034381 and 280034390, probably the same marketing company? don't wanna call back since I do not know the number - it could be just a robocaller testing if my number is responding, don't want to let them know my line is active... People please did someone answer it? Who is behind this number?

They claimed to be from a Claims department of the Australian Government and had $5000 for me. When I said that it was bullsh!t they hung up. What a surprise.

I too have received scam calls from this number they claim to be from the Reclaim dept. AUstralian gov. but when i asked for an ABN Australian business number which any legit business in the country would happilly give you and i was told we can not give that info which is bullcrap and then they hung up.i rang back asked who they were and what they wanted and silence was they only reply. I rang back a second time telling them i was gary harris and wanted a reclaim they then hung up on me. It is not doubt a scam call in my opinion i have reported this to telstra and reported it to scamwatch Asutralia. Please do not fall for this scam. thankyou
