WANDERBREAKS Scam Different Number 08 61025091 but same scam. (Scam call) reported by

As per all the descriptions below. They call offering you to buy vouchers for 250 or 499. However the websites they are you to check are all in different names and the bank account another name again. Website wanderbreaks.com is only 6 months old but company supposedly around for 10 years. Fortunately I picked the problem and with some more online searching did not pay any money. It is a sophisticated scam and they are very persistant.

Different number 0861025091 same scam (Call centre) reported by

Received call from Wanderbreaks 0861025091 after I asked to speak to the person in charge it spoke to Jack Bello who convinced me to buy 12 vouchers for $499.00 he convinced me by getting me to go to www.abr.business.gov.au and an ABN number he supplied which was for a Genuine company Aussie Wandertours Pty Ltd in Western Australia. After paying through Paypal to Prime Markeing Solutions, I became more and more suspicious unfortunately it was too late to stop the transaction so I rang the company in Western Australia and of course they knew nothing about Wanderbreaks but I was not the first person to ring them. They have reported the matter but too late for me I am afraid. The voucher, membership card and business cards duly arrived but are very poor quality. They have become very adept in answering all questions so please be aware.

Holiday scam (Scam call) reported by

Bought 7 vouchers for $249. When I was on the phone to Sam, she directed me another website, provided me with a log in and proceeded to show me accommodation houses. I of course purchased the package and was sent some very poor quality tickets, membership card and business cards, and my heart sank as I clicked to it being a scam only then. thetourgroups.com is a scam. I was provided when talking with Sam, an ABN number an address and phone numbers, all of when I checked where someone else s.I had purchased with PayPal and Prime Marketing Solutions was the recipient.

yourvacationmart.com (Scam call) reported by

http://yourvacationmart.com/ https://au.shouldianswer.net/phone-number/0280050825 These Scammers have rebranded a new website ,My investigation is very close to these guys and will soon i will publish complete report about them. Be careful Basically PRIME MARKETING SOLUTIONS conduct telemarketing in Australia using these fake websites www.thetourntravel.com www.thetourgroups.com www.breaksgroup.com PRIME MARKETING SOLUTIONS sell membership card along with promotional vouchers based on to buy meals from the property or pay for 1st night and get second night free. This card and the Vouchers do not compliance with the regulation as described in https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/…/gift-vouchers-and-gift-ca… Further you can see on their websites too on the buy now pages http://www.thetourgroups.com/promotional/ http://www.thetourntravel.com/promo/ If you go on their websites and punch in any dates and destinations on search engine nothing will comes up. Upon further investigation I found out that there is not even single hotel in Australia under their panel. It’s just they sell vouchers take heavy amounts upfront like $999 and when customer try to book accommodation either they don't answer the phones or emails ,give fake promises or inform that there is no booking available. At the end of the day customers ends up having no bookings for the money they have paid for. If you try to search legal entity of any of these websites you will not find any of the records as for telemarketing purpose they are using these sites because they don't follow ACMA Do not call rules and regulations. They basically have developed an offshore call center, websites with no legal entity and a legal company registered with ASIC for banking purpose such as internet banking and credit card processing. Legal entity is not disclosed to any of these websites as ACMA couldn’t track them. To get my report more authenticated please visit http://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/the

Holiday Vouchers (Telemarketer) reported by

My 70 + yr old parents have been stung by this business. My father got a call from "Sam". After much ado he agreed to purchase $1000.00 worth of holiday vouchers as he wanted to take my mum away for a few days. It was made abundantly clear my dad only wanted to travel WITHIN Australia. He was assured there were multiple holiday destinations for him to chose from. What do you know??!! Nothing but 3 venues - 1 in Spain, 1 in France and 1 in Langkawi (which isn't even spelt correctly on their website). When trying to phone, the number has been disconnected. When trying to email, they are returned with the message "undeliverable". I am now trying to retrieve the money from the bank and will be putting my experience in writing to anyone who is willing to listen. BE CAREFUL! These people prey on older folk who are not computer literate. It is disgraceful.

Scam Call (Telemarketer) reported by

I am been scammed by these bastards too but they never knew I am a retired police officer and know all the ways to get my $ back. I hope my post will help several people. Please paste this post to other forms, so we can stop this scam. 1. Call your bank and ask to reverse the transaction. 2. IF you are on DNC report ACMA http://www.acma.gov.au that PRIME MARKETING SOLUTIONS with ABN 74 956 354 365 called me as thetourgroupor any other fake company names are not registered with ABR. IF they are registered then domain name should be .com.au . 3. it’s never too late. Call Fair trading and report them that PRIME MARKETING SOLUTIONS with ABN 74 956 354 365 called me and sold me vouchers which I never received or what I have received is not according to what they sold me or I never got bookings from them. Explain how they rip you off .. 100% guarantee you will get your monies back. 4. Go to https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/report-a-scam . and Report a scam. Good luck !

Well, yup. I thought I wouldn't fall prey to people like this but I did. Lost my cash. Just HATE these . I have the feeling that there is NOTHING I can do that will recover the cash. Thanks for the advice but I tend to think Linda (above) is right. Just leaves you with the feeling that the world is a dirtier place. Very sad.

Linda

Tried all of your advice points to get my money back. None worked. Bank could not reverse transaction as it was EFT. Consumer Affairs took details but said they couldn't do anything for me - just warn others. Reported on scam watch - same same.

Thankyou so much for posting this info to the retired Policeman x

This is not an accurate review. Their 'staff' are most probably monitoring alerts and then posting comments such as these in response to bogus claims. Check it out yourself: - http://www.thetourgroups.com/ is an exact duplicate of http://www.breaksgroup.com/: same bogus content, same phone number, just a different logo - Look at their online checkout: there is no SSL certificate on that (i.e. the http:// of the URL does not change to https:// going through checkout). No credible travel agency will not have this in place for online payment processing. - The Twitter and Facebook links are bogus - If you go to http://abr.business.gov.au/ and type in 'The Tours Group' there are no exact matches on the business name. They claim that their ABN is 108494999 which actually belongs to Australia Tours & Travel Pty Ltd. Very similar name I know, but it is actually a different company. - Go to http://whois.domaintools.com/ and type in http://www.thetourgroups.com/ in the WHOIS lookup field. Note the date the domain was created is 2015-08-17. Based on the ABN information they provide they have been trading since 2004 - and how do you think they managed to do that online without a domain name between 2004 and 2015??? Also note that the domain is registered to BRIAN LEE who is associated with ~2,944 other domains. First time I checked the contact email for him was [email protected] and it has now changed to [email protected]. Dodgy!!! - And also, the bank account details they provide for payment is in the name of Prime Marketing Solutions. Just another inconsistency in this elaborate scheme! Stay clear of them. A very well thought out scam that is obviously fooling a lot of people.

Suspect scam call so didn't buy. Very pushy with broad non Australian accent, but provided this number readily. Notice that positive reviews are not in Australian english, which makes even the reviews suspicious.

I asked the caller from The Tour Group for the ABN as it wasn't shown on any documentation. Was given an ABN which belonged to a company that went into liquidation in 2014 and is now deregistered. Not sure if I believe anything at all they told me now. Don't pay them any money.

After contacting the Office of Fair Trading because I could never get any answers to my emails or phone calls after paying $499 for vouchers, they have told me this number is offshore and is a Skype number and no such entity exists in Australia. It is a scam and I would urge anyone not to pay anything to this group.

We signed up for a $499 holiday package and should have received 15 vouchers. They didn't arrive so after many phone calls, they sent e-vouchers. When we tried to use them, nobody answers the phone or gets back to us. I tried to cancel the membership and get a refund (within the allowed time) but unable to contact anyone from the organisation now.

Call them again, they will definitely respond you back. Because one of my friend and her husband get E vouchers and after receiving they went to their holidays. And i am also going to use my vouchers, my booking has been confirmed for 3rd April (Melbourne, Australia) :)
