claimed to be Telstra technician re internet connection. (Unsolicited call) reported by Elaine
Landline caller claimed to be Telstra technician: Lisa Williams D801744 saying a technician was coming to my area on Monday regarding internet dropouts reported by people in my suburb (there have been nightly dropouts - thanks NBN). Gave me a phone number to ring to verify her credentials: 02 8006 87785, saying this was Telstra at 105 Miller Street, North Sydney. Number answered and male verified her. However my NBN connection is not with Telstra - she couldn't tell me who it was with. Definitely sus. Told her that, when I googled the verification phone number, it came up with a scam. She protested but didn't deny it. Hung up - waste of my time.

Caller claiming to be Telstra technician re internet connection (Scam call) reported by Robert
Caller claiming to be John Wilson ID DLS10650172 called advising my internet had been scammed requesting connect details. No information given as suspicious and our NBN connection is not with Telstra. I was given a number to call back but instead contacted my supplier direct who advised this call was a scam and I should ignore.

He rang me 4 times in 3 days, and once i picked up the phone call asked me if whether i got into a car accident in the past 12 months. i said no i dont hv a car. and he hung up. How does he know my name, not so sure. but be careful folks.

Car accident recovery insurance Scam (Scam call) reported by IDB
this number called me twice today...1st time no-one on the end of the line, 2nd time was an operator (sounded Indian) from a call centre saying that they were ringing in relation to a car accident where i hadn't paid for the personal injury part of the claim. I stated that i hadn't been involved in a car accident and that I had no idea what they were talking about. The operator said that I had been in an accident as that is how they got my name and number....so i kept stating that I hadn't had any accident and had no idea what he was talking about. After a couple of minutes of this, the operator said that he must have the wrong details and hung up!. Bizarre....almost funny!

They called me and a person tried to explain something about insurance concerning a car accident I had about a year ago according to them. I attempted to tell the **** that it is impossible. I do no own a car you see, I never have owned a car or driven one. Trying to tell them that I couldn't have possibly had a car accident was like trying to explain colours to a newborn baby. I told the dumb thing that this is a waste of f*#$ing time and hung up on the ignorantop fool.
