Scam call (Unsolicited call) reported by

I have had 10 calls from this number over the past few months, they call to state that someone here has been involved in a car accident. And when I say "no, I have had this call before and you're wrong" they hang up.

Scam call (Scam call) reported by

All details the same as previous, however, we are a primary school and they are calling every 2 minutes and now not actually saying anything. We have stopped answering this number. They are changing the end digits of our general office number and trying to ring directly into classrooms. Seems as if they are certainly increasing their harassment. I have reported their number to Police Link

Like the previous comments, asking if I was in a car accident, which I haven't been in. Then when I asked where the call had been coming from they hung up. Definitely a scam.

Cold call regarding a car accident (Scam call) reported by

All details the same as per the previous review. Heavily accented male claiming to be from a National Insurance scheme, claiming I had reported a car accident (I haven't)...you can hear the call Centre in the background...I told him he had the wrong number and he hung up. Definitely a fishing scam.

Very similar story to the one from the 24.01.2017. Strong Indian accent trying to convince me somebody in my family had an accident 12 months ago. Hang up on him. Calls like these started to happen more frequently later, so my decision from now on: not to pick up the phone if I don't know the number. They will leave a message if it is a genuine caller or even if it is a scam call I will be able to assess it without talking to someone crazy.

Accident Helpline (Scam call) reported by

Gentleman cold called and asked for the person who had had an accident in the last 12 months. He said this was the number they received from the insurance agencies. I smelled a rat right away and wanted to have some fun with him. However, I could not catch him out on any of my questions - he had a prepared answer for all. He spoke with a heavy Indian accent, but gave his name as Alan Vickery, and his employee number. Told me that they currently did not have an active website (only time I thought I caught him), but gave me this number to call back. He was quite convincing re his explanation that he represented law firms that would chase compensation for victims of road accidents. Explained that I could have lots of money coming to me. Reassured me that he needed no financial details (yet?) and simply needed the details of the accident. I gave him no details, told him that the accident involved my wife, who was currently overseas. The problem is that not only haven't we had an accident in the last several years, his explanation that he got our landline number from an insurance company was impossible since we never give it out - only our mobile numbers. Be careful - he sounded convincing!

No name

Yes the same Indian guy is keep calling me since last three days and told his name Jordan Wright. My husband had an accident two months ago I don't know from where did he get our landline number and he is keep asking me the same questions again and again. My husband is gone to abroad for two weeks and I told him you can talk to him when he will be back but he said my supervisor is saying that we have to close your hasband's file today so we need all the information then you will get your compensation.I asked him if you want any information regarding my husband's accident then send him an email or contact him on his mobile no. then he replied we are not authorise to call outside the UK. Today he called me I spoke to him very harshly then he said oh you are a very cooperative lady and bla bla... then hung up the phone. Beware of these fraudsters.
