I called the number back, it went to a generic call center, couldn't give me information without me giving out personal information. Since they didn't wish to identify I refused to give details.

Seems to be some call centre, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range - 02802494xx, just last 2 or 3 digits different) reported here already - mostly as Credit Corp Financial Services, a debt collection service provider. No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it? I have been using the ShouldIAnswer mobile application from these pages, works fine, can stop such calls and also a range of numbers (very usefull for call centres). No problems.

I called the number back, they said that they dealt with sensitive information and couldn't tell me where they were calling from and they wanted my personal information which to me screams debt collection. The thing is that if they do not leave a message, people usually google the number and when they find out who the caller is, they either block the number on their phones or they save the number and ignore it when it rings.
