I applied for the Coles Mastercard and they wanted to confirm I was still at my job as my original offer of employment contract that I sent in stated I was only a 6 weeks contract. They did ask my to confirm my identity but only what month I was born in and what letter my mothers maiden name started with so I was comfortable with sharing.

I applied for a credit card and they called to confirm identity. They asked me a few questions I did not write on my application though which made me feel uneasy. I questioned him as to why would he ask these questions for security if he didn't know the answers as i'd not given that info. He said if I felt uncomfortable I could call the call centre and speak to them directly so I might do that. They want to know previous addresses and things which I thought was a bit odd

People did someone answer this number? I had few missed calls from this one, probably some call centre robocaller testing my number? I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. Was trying to dig some info on the internet, don't want to call them back until I know who might be calling but no luck. Some idea who is it?

It's Citibank. I applied for a credit card through them and it was just them calling me to confirm my details and let me know they have received all the documentation to verify my identity.

We were called to do reference check for a client. They said they were from Virgin Money.

Yes they called me and asked me if I want to apply for virgin card I sort of said yes but I'm still reluctant to give them my private documents because I don't know if they are legit or not
