Do Not Answer. I had a voicemail by an Indian lady saying she was from the taxation office and that they wanted to take legal action if I didn't call back. Naturally hearing worried me and I called the number. This Indian man answered the phone claiming that wanted to take legal action against me however when I asked what name they had under my number they mentioned someone whom I've never heard of them wanted to know my full name, address etc..... PLEASE DO NOT make the mistake of giving any details and call the taxation office straight away on 132861.

Just received a call from this number. A threatening message with a very heavy Indian accent was left regarding legal action for back taxes. Just like "Old AgePensioner", "Dan" and all others who have reported this number, a) my name wasnt even mentioned and b) Ive been a pensioner for ages and dont pay tax anymore.

Just received this same message. 'Jennifer S' (heavy accent) from the ATO concerning legal action regarding back taxes. First red flag - at no point did she mention my name. Second red flag - I've been a pensioner for decades. What taxes?

BEWARE! SCAM! Received this call from a Lady 'Jennifer S' this number 0280730518 from my phone message bank, called ATO to check if it is legit turned out they have not called and my record is clean. DO NOT by any reason do a return call instead call ATO at 13 28 61 and select option 5. Do not be overwhelm by the complexity of the situation and please don't just sit and do nothing. We all have to stand against this scammers who just wants to financially benefit themselves by making good people's lives miserable.
