Email purporting to be Omni Retail (Scam call) reported by Trevor
Received an email claiming my PayPal account had been debited $216. Shows purchased item is $199, shipping $12 and Sales Tax $5. Email goes on to say: "Your account has been successfully charged $ 216.00. A copy of this receipt will also reflect in your statement on the next business day. If you have any questions, please let us know at +61 (02) 8091 1673. We'll get back to you as soon as we can. Kind Regards, Omni Retail 70 Mt Berryman Road, Gatton College, Queensland 4345, Australia" No such address either. Haven't called the number but judging by other comments for this number it would have been a scam to get money out of me.

Telstra Technical Support (Scam call) reported by Bob W
Same experience as reported by Michelle on 29/3/2018. Have had several calls over the last few years, all from someone claiming to be Telstra Technical Support. Always ignore them!

Claiming to be from Telstra regarding an internet security issue (Scam call) reported by Michelle
I asked for a reference number of my computer and they gave me a number, which does not match my computer serial number. I asked for their phone number & they gave me 0280911676. I then did some research. I did a quick google search and the ACCC advised that these are scam calls. I called them back & told them that I had called Telstra to check & I was advised that it is a scam. They then said that they were not from Telstra, but from Telstra technical support. I was passed onto a supervisor who was very insistent that the problem is genuine. He told me that if I did not sort it out, then I would lose my internet connection in a day. I told him to contact my service provider, because I am not with Telstra, or send me a letter or an email, because I don't believe that this is anything other than a scam.
