Answered and it hung up, called back and recorded message telling me I was recently called by News Corp Australia in regards about great offers on subscriptions to Australian newspapers. This would have been a robotic called which logs you as an active number if you answer. Now I am sure I will be hammered with some over seas call centre trying to sell me Aussie papers.

I never answer numbers I don’t know and often look them up if I’m curious about who may be calling me. This number called me twice yesterday and again today. They left a voice message today it was no talking and it just sounded like someone eating ???? I blocked my number and called back it answered with an automated message saying I had recently been called from news Corp to offer me great deals. Blocked the number so hopefully no more calls. Don’t waste your time answering these guys.

Answered the call, someone said hello but then hung up. Called back and a recorded message said 'someone from News Corp Australia recently called you to tell you about a great range of subscription offers from Daily Telegraph, The Australian, etc.' In short, its a telemarketing call for Murdoch newspapers.

This number must be part of the range of numbers dedicated to the same call centre - I can see more similar numbers of the same range 2809463xx reported already, mostly with news corp, subscribers, insurance. In the case of this number they left no message, no idea who is behind it? People please did someone answer it? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back, trying to dig some info about this number on internet first...
