First call i received was from a withheld number and on the following day a second call was received from +283173104 - but it was the same recorded message. Pretty sure that the ATO don't use an automated electronic voice recording with an American accent to advise about tax issues. Scam!

Scam call reported by Theresa
received an automated call every day this week , claiming to be from the ATO and that I am being prosecuted for tax evasion.This call comes up as a No caller ID so I can't even block it. It advises me to call 02 8317 3104 to avoid prosecution. they advised that I owed $3950 and when I had the money to contact them and they would send someone from the taxation office to collect the funds from my home address, I contacted the ATO who advised this is a scam, I have also reported this to the police

These guys nothing but scam. ihave reported it to police they are not the ATO.

Unsolicited call reported by Taxation department
Recorded message informing me I have ignored previous requests to lodge my tax, therefore a warrant is out for my arrest. I'm to return their call to fix the problem
