Telling me i have put in false tax statement s and its now gone to federal police & i will be jailed for up to 5yrs my name will be mud he is freezing my accounts taking my house car etc there was away out only if i followed his direction s exactly that was to pay what i owed in Tax from 2009 to 2016 the amount was $4,000 and that might stop me going to jail i wasnt allowed to tell anyone or id go to jail he was very confronting in his voice please be aware

Scam caller saying they are from ATO which is incorrect. Do not hand over any personal details and report scam call to the ATO.

Be aware, similar number 0283173527 is already reported here as fake tax call, check the http://au.shouldianswer.net/phone-number/0283173527 - no idea if this is the same call centre, I blocked this one... I have been using the ShouldIAnswer mobile application from these pages, works fine, can stop such calls and also a range of numbers (very usefull for call centres). No problems.
