They actually left a message saying that I was involved in known fraud involving the ATO and they would be issuing an arrest warrant if I ignored the call. As if. They need to know a bit more about how the Australian legal system works! In other words - scam call trying to get personal details.

Its a scam. Don't ring back. They are after people who will pay them money to make the so called litigation action against you...go away. send a report through the ACCC scam report website, and the more reports they get, hopefully the quicker it will get shutdown.

People did someone answer this number? I had few missed calls from this one, probably some call centre robocaller testing my number? I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. I was trying to dig some info on the internet, don't want to call them back until I know who might be calling but no luck - similar numbers are marked as fake ATO calls, be aware. Some idea who is it? Blocking this one now - I have been using the ShouldIAnswer mobile application from these pages, works fine, can stop such calls and also a range of numbers (very useful for call centres). No problems.
