Just got a phone call from this number and claiming that I have a laptop trend/Microsoft problem where I don't even have a problem or antivirus in my laptop. This number also got my name wrong. Do not trust this number.

Bought new MS Office program to install on new computer during the installation of Office a screen popped up requesting email and mobile number I didn't think much of it so I did then with in seconds recieved a phone call on mobile it is an Indian male with very particular instructions which made me believe what he was talking about very convincing then he proceeded to identify WIFI issues which I knew they did not exists, then he asked for money at that point said I don't believe you he hung up the phone i then immediately shut down the support me window and unplugged the modem ,he did take a photo using laptop cam . So far computer is fine.

Used the online chat help on trend micro website. This number called me and then took over the computer. Like others wanted an hour to go through it all! Stopped him there. Turned off computer and we’ll see how it looks tomorrow

Our Mail was not responding and we thought we were talking to Microsoft Edge re help. A woman said she would get a technician to call and requested our phone number. We were contacted by a man within minutes who wanted our email and address and proceeded to take over control of our computer. He claimed all sorts of things had been disabled on our Computer and said he would fix it, but that we would have to leave it on for 90 to 120 minutes, and not to do anything to the computer. When queried about the length of time, he hung up. We immediately closed computer down and disconnected. After re-opening a couple of hours later, we found our mail was working fine.
