I'd received what looked like a legitimate renewal for my business name. I was checking business renewal details on the ASIC website and received a call straight away from the number I listed above at 7.15pm on Saturday! Not the first time I'd received such a renewal notice, is a very convincing email notice

Tried to apply for an ABN then they tried to make me pay $99 (Scam call) reported by


I applied for an ABN on their website, once I had all me details in I proceeded to the payment phase ($99!) I thought it was a bit weird so I just left the tab open without paying. Two seconds later I get a call from this number saying he will help me through the ABN payment process. Of course I was suspicious, but they made me confirm all me details which I had previously given them via the website. ITS A SCAM, PLEASE DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY

I recently moved from overseas to be with my family and I received a call regarding setting my tax number up. They offered their assistance provided I paid $90. I listened to her unconvincing offer then told her I worked for the government as a detective specialising in online scamming. Told her I could track her call and view her profile and personal details by voice idenitification. Before saying she had rung the wrong number, I told her, "stop *#&@ing scamming people b&#$@". Scammers got scammed.

Once registering on this site I was contacted immediately by mobile and reverse searched the number and found out that it wasn't the correct site for my business registration - business.com.au instead of abr.gov.au - I corrected my issue and have been plagued by calls from this number = just a money making exercise but a little annoying - now named in my phone so will ask to be removed from their database next time they called or I will report
