Potential for a scam (Unsolicited call) reported by Adamk

Matteo Sana called asking for our Managing Driector by name, advising that he had an ugrgent request for service from a Marcus Eveans Health care group. He was quite abrupt and insited on having the directors mobile number, to which, I refused to hand over and took down a number to have him called back. My director gave me this link to follow after and imagine my surprise! Countless cases of very similar situations.

"Matteo Sana" called asking for the Managing Director, advising that he himself is the MD of a healthcare company looking to use our services etc. Advised him I'll have the MD call back, what's the number - then found this page after finding no professional reference to Matteo Sana online.

As with other comments about this number the caller had a very thick accent and appeared to be Matteo from Marcus Evans Healthcare. This was the second time he's called my mobile, this time using a different landline Sydney number to the previous call (unfortunately my staff provided him with my mobile number). Suggested they had looked at our website, were interested in development work and investing in the company. Similar credentials offered as listed in other comments on this site. Thank you all - my staff may well have been conned if not for your observations.

He tries to invite the MD/CEO to a conference (paid, of course) which is his angle. He tries to get past first line staff by pretending to be a sales opportunity - one where whatever services you offer are suitable for a growing international presence in your region, etc etc. Just hang up on him.

Matteo left a voicemail message (and has tried calling 5+ times), saying he's the "Head of Asia Pacific Chief Information Officers Group in <something> New Zealand". Likely got my details from a conference we sponsored recently, definitely unsolicited and unknown to us

Unsolicited Call from 'Managing Director' Matteo (Telemarketer) reported by RGM

Spoke with this Matteo once - very aggressive and rude and insisted on speaking with the CEO as he was the MD of ME HealthCare Solutions. When I refused to transfer him without first having some information about the company he became frustrated with my lack of assistance and almost demanded that I get the CEO to call hime back that day before 4.30pm. He refused to send me any company information as he is the "MD and doesn't send emails'. We looked for the company information using the internet and could find no reference other than this site. I did not pass the message on. Another aggressive message today though our answering service - did some more searching and found one reference on linkedIn for this company but the person only worked there for 1 year and 4 months, finishing in 2014. No single other reference anywhere. I suspect it is a scam and won't be passing on any messages to the CEO

Said his name was Matteo, was Calling From ME Health Group Sydney on behalf of a company board looking to make a presentation to members on Wednesday, Asked for former Director (Often the case). I looked up the Name ME Health and it appears not to be real. Also when I answered he was talking in some middle eastern language(I am guessing to someone else) then at the end just used the first name of the former director. All a bit odd.
