discount off optus mobile (Telemarketer) reported by Maggie

Indian accent lady offering 3 month discount off my Optus mobile as I had a good credit rating. I told her it was a scam and she denied this and sent me a code to click on to gain the discount. She was very persistent but was wasting her time with me.

This number has contacted me on a number of occasions and my phone shows a possible scam. No message is every left and sometimes the calls are received during the night.

Scammer pretending to be Optus (Scam call) reported by Scam watcher

This number is claimed to be the “billing department” of Optus. First a lady with Indian accent (with call centre background noise) called me from (02) 9071 2869, offering a percentage off my mobile bill for the next 4 months. Then she texted me a verification code, after which she asked for my DOB to “activate the discount”. When I questioned her motives, she insisted she had to get my DOB to activate the account before she could send me the confirmation email. When I asked for a number to call back to verify her claims she quickly gave me this number, claiming it’s the billing department. I hung up and called the real Optus to verify and of course they said there’s no such offer. So beware!

Foreign adult asking for PIN numbers (Scam call) reported by N/A

Scam call. Offered money off my optus bill but requested I provide her with a code she sent me (to the same number she was talking to live) when I asked if I could apply online she started pulling the "don't understand" card.
