Tax office scam (Scam call) reported by Trins

A man claiming to be from the tax office, Not the ATO claiming i had tax avoided. I asked him who he was looking for and he kept going with his spiel. I asked him again what was my name and kepts going i asked a third time with a stern tone still kept going so i hung up. This really is becoming a dam problem shoukd just disconnect my phone i am sick to death of these people

A male left two messages on the machine claiming he was an ATO authority. He asked me to call the number -0288800490 -otherwise I could be arrested. He didn't state my name, address, tax file number or he didn't identify himself. Definitely a scam, do not call him back.

The male caller left a message stating that I was being investigated as part of a tax avoidance / evasion scheme & that I was to ring him back otherwise I could be arrested. Certainly a scam.

ATO Scam caller (Scam call) reported by Andrea

The person on the other end claimed to be from the ATO and stated I needed to call the number back to avoid legal action and having a warrant issued for my arrest. The guy claimed I was under investigation for tax evasion and fraud. This is a scam, ignore the call and do not call the number given.
