ANZ insurance offer call. I also called it back from my work phone and it said "Good Morning, you have been contacted by ANZ in relation to an insurance offer.." The recorded message went on to say how the return call could not be taken at this time but I could be transferred to the call centre to speak to an operator or something like that.

Called it back. Machine answered. 'Good morning, you have been contacted by ANZ in relation to an insurance offer. We'll try and contact you at a later date' I've had this call before, it's specific for ANZ members. Guess the number/line was sold again. Annoying part, I answered the call immediately. 3 seconds of silence before their end hung up. Called back to an automated message. Blah.

This number comes from the range of numbers dedicated to some call centre, they act as a common telemarketers. Sometimes reported also as a company contracted by Wespac Bank (check them at http://www.westpac.com.au/, their contact list can be found here : http://www.westpac.com.au/contact-us/) to carry out customer surveys, but in most cases this is just a spam... I would recommend to block the whole (02) 899-990-xx range...
