Received call on Bluetooth while driving. Claimed to be Vodafone to offer me an upgrade. I asked to be called back later. In the meantime I called Vodafone customer service who confirmed, this was more than likely a scam as they had no record of the call. They did call back, I answered and told them they were a scam, which of course they denied. I hang up. Beware.

Introduced themselves as Vodafone upgrade service. Asked me to confirm my name - When I said they should know my name if they are calling me, he couldn't provide it and said he needed me to prove who I was. I said I had to get back to work and he got cranky and pushy so I hung up.

said they were from vodaphone and wanted to upgrade my plan so i would have more data and pay less. Requested in writing. Said no, so i said no. rang back..vodaphone was mentioned in the jingle and then redirected to another line (very loud ringing) and to another person. i asked to speak to their supervisor. He said i was contacting the Contact centre and there were no supervisors (which is def not the case). I hung up.

Vodafone falling to offer my an ungraded plan which makes no sense as the current plan I am on is cheaper and with the same deal, and I’m under contract WITH Vodafone to keep this plan for a year or else I lose my benefits. Soooooo... they must not communicate to each other. That or it was a scammer but I refused whatever he was seeking me before he could try and get more details out of me which he DID try

First it was a ringtone, then someone picked up. Wanted personal information so I hung up. Doesn’t feel legit.

Also felt this was the case - particularly when my phone stated potential fraud, however in the end after I refused his offers he simply recommended I contact 1555 for any potential upgrades which is the correct number for vodafone. So I feel was legit.
