A robocall as previously reported. Pretending to be Centrelink. Told me I had not responded to any of their correspondence and so my file has been moved to Canberra. I am to contact the them urgently and quote my case number 080456 to get my back pay. Not owed anything. Also Centrelink do not operate or contact this way so this is a SCAM.

Same as report 21/02/2018 - from same No 0290991767 and same reference No 080456. Aussie accent, I needed to contact that Ph No to sort out payment. It would be easy to get caught out.

Recorded message tells you they are Centrelink and they have written to you repeatedly with no reply. Bulldust. They say your file has now been moved to Canberra head office. Bulldust. They give you an application number, 080456, and tell you to ring 02 9099 1767 (I didn't ring it but know someone who did) where they apparently try to get your pension number, address, and other personal information to steal your identity and money.

Robot asked if anyone on Centrelink payment to press 1, if not, press 2. #1 was pressed and call was disconnected?? Rang the number back, and it was answered identifying themselves as Dept of Human Services. When told we were calling a number back after a missed call - the person sounded shocked and asked if anyone was on a pension. By now, we were starting to get suspicious, and when challenged - we got sworn at and call disconnected

Scammer called my mum claiming to be Centrelink. They had some details, and asked her to confirm CRN. She was asked to go and buy multiple itunes cards, and call them back to give the details of the cards. Do not bother with these ****. Hopefully they are caught.

Called saying I had ignored letters and the matter had been escalated to Canberra. Gave them the "Case Number" and false name and he continually called me Debbie when the fake name I gave was Stacy! Said he had found all the details for me and he just needed my pension number to process the back pay. Asked him why I couldn't find the information on MYGov and he said he didn't know about MYGov but kept asking for the Pension Number. Definite scam! Number was 02 90991767. Very convincing.

Rang to tell me that I had ignored their written correspondence, and that I now had to ring the office in Canberra. I was told to press one, which I did, and then told that I had not responded. The number given to ring, was,0290991767. I was also given an application number. I was a little stressed for a few minutes, and then thought,Hang on, Centrelink never contact me this way. Which is when I decided to investigate. They can be quite convincing, these rogues.

They call your home phone with a recording saying that you haven't provided the information they have been asking for and to call them back on 02 9099 1767 or they will forward the case to Canberra.... They client then called me as their financial adviser and asked if I can sort it out. I then called them and explained who I was and that Centrelink don't operate this way they hang up. Tried calling back again and explained that I believed this was a scam and they hang up again. Be aware and don't call any number back when left as a message.
