Offers Mobile set and sim - Scam (Scam call) reported by


They (they say from Mobileciti which is totally fake) offer you special deal with Mobile set and Service. They follow up with a fake email. They ask for your 2 forms of proof of identity so that they can do a credit check. What they do is they apply for the set and sim on behalf of you with your details but not the set you asked for. And you will actually receive a set and sim from the Operator (Optus, Vodaphone etc). So when you call the provided number (if you can reach at all), they will say its for someone else and was a mistake. They will ask you to send the mobile set back to “THEIR” warehouse and they will send you the correct set. If you send the mobile set to their (so called mobile citi) warehouse, the set is gone and you will be paying the monthly charge. Also they may use your details for other credit card issue . Be very careful. The email they use is .net which is fake. Call the actual mobileciti and they will confirm you it’s a scam.

False car accident claim (Scam call) reported by


Call on my mobile from man with South-Asian accent, saying he was from the 'Road Transport Authority'. He had my name. Said the call was in relation to a car accident I was supposed to have had 'last year'. Call quality was very poor with a lots of background noise. I have not had any car accident, and if I did, would expect to be contacted by letter not phone call, so at that point I hung up.

Indian bloje named Ali said he was from road traffic management to call about an accident my car was involved in and although my car was it was not me that did it I bought the car as a wreck. So I asked again where he was from and he lied and said an insurance company this time and from what it seemed he waa trying to get money out of me from a "claim" of the other party I didnt listen far enough to get this out of him as I questioned him and he ended up hanging up the phone. Scam caller trying to get money for fake claims.

Long story short, indian bloke named "Ali" tried to offer me compensation for a car accident that apparently occured involving my long time unregistered subaru, no such claim was made by myself. When questioned he started to panic and hung up. Do not fall for this scam.

i RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER 0290991790 A PERSON NAMED ALI TOLD ME THAT HE IS CALLING FROM RTA & SAID THAT MY CAR IS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT LAST YEAR AND I AM LIABLE TO PAY THE COMPENSATION. THEN I ASKED HIM TO PROVIDE ME WITH ALL THE DETAILS IN RELATED TO ACCIDENT, HE REFUSED TO DO SO SAYING THAT IT'S CONFIDENTIAL CANNOT PROVIDE ME WITH THAT INFO. THEN I TOLD HIM UNLESS YOU PROVIDE ME WITH ALL INFO DON'T CALL ME, AS I AM THE ONLY PERSON WHO IS USING THE CAR SINCE LAST 9 YEARS AND NEVER HAD ANY INCIDENT. I THINK THIS NUMBER IS SPAM & FRAUDULENT, PLEASE BE AWARE IF ANY OF YOU RECEIVE A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER. THANKS
