Random* call offering discounts on my electricity bill. I wasnt sure about it as ive had many scam calls. I hung up mid call and looked up the number. Turns out many people have had this scam call as well.

keeps calling my mobile, never leaves a message. I do not call back I google the number & then report it to Telstra so it can be blocked. These people drive you mad. If I wanted something I would ring them. Just hang up if you do answer & there is a delay before some-one speaks.

offering 38% discount for electricity, asked to confirm my name, DOB, address. said i was speaking too fast and could i say my address more slowly so he could write it down. i asked why he needed to write it down if he was just confirming? then pressed for a copy of my driver's licence or medicare card. when i said i had neither, pushed for me to take a photo of my passport. hung up at this stage.

Called the number and 'Mark' in a Filipino call centre recognised that I was calling him back and immediately launched into a spiel about energy. Cut him off, told him not to call me again and released the call.

Just checked the number is through Primus. Call them and raise a complaint for nuisance calls.
