It also appears to be a recording as the phone calls are identical. 0283173145 is another with an Indian Womans Voice. So why are the Police, Telstra, ATO etc, not shutting these numbers down and doing something about it, it just keeps happening and happening.

A man claiming his name was Mack MIller who had an indian accent has been calling and accusing my mother of tax fraud and threatened to get her arrested. How dare they call peoples homes and make such threats. She was so upset and thought it was real! Could you imagine being threatened to be put in jail and forced to pay thousands of dollars and thought it was real. They are a disgrace and i hope something is done about it. Fraud!!

I received a call from this number claiming to be Jason O'Connor of the ATO threatening legal action or a visit by police unless I return a call. Personally there is a touch of humour to the call as I work for the ATO and know their protocols- *The caller does not address you by name. The ATO will never leave a message without addressing who we are calling. *The caller leaves a detailed threatening message outlining their actions. The ATO will never leave a message divulging the details of a client or case on an answering service that could be accessed by anyone. The Privacy Act is strictly monitored.

Yet another call from John claiming he'll save me from getting sued or going to jail for tax fraud. I can't believe how rude and disgusting this bloke is when you confront him. Surely there is someway of finding this scammer and put an end to the nuisance. ????????

Very Rude and tries to scare me that he's from ATO. Harrasing me that I owe ATO money when my accountant have my tax all squared off.

A client also received a phone call from this number claiming to be from the ATO and that the client was being audited and better have his lawyer ready. Client rang me, I confirmed nothing outstanding on his tax affairs and it was a scam. Very aggressive caller.

This is one of those calls from the "ATO" where they tell you that you are being investigated for tax evasion and the police are going to come to arrest you. I didn't speak to the person because the number came up as "PRIVATE" and I don't answer these calls anymore so it they left this message
