Pre-recorded message that sounds very life-like of a woman asking for donations. They are claiming to be Next Step - a legit charity that supports victims of domestic violence - however if you google the charity the actual website has a phone scam alert. They are asking for bank account details for a “one off” donation - claiming that they only need three people to pledge and you are the third. Absolutely disgraceful, but scarily sophisticated.

Claiming to be from Next Steps Australia. (Non-profit Organization) reported by 180.150.39.xxx
The person on the other end of the line was really pushy asking for donations even though I had already expressed that I was unable to provide a donation. Made direct contact with Next Steps Australia to ask them to remove my details from any and all database they had. They responded and have said that the agency that they work with did not have my details. I provided them with this number that contacted me and they are investigating further. If in doubt, Google and contact the charity directly.

Asking for 300 to 400 dollar donations (Call centre) reported by 49.184.196.xxx
said the donations were to help women and children fleeing domestic violence though pat of the call sounded prerecorded as the caller kept repeating the same thing toward the end of the call and the other caller said they were not trained to answer questions I had as to how and which channel they distribute as I'd never heard of them before

She said she was from the next step project which is raising money for women who are fleeing domestic violence. To support one woman and her child they needed three people to donate $100, luckily apparently they had already had two people each donating $100. So with my support together we could help one woman.
