VOICE REPLAY FRAUD (Scam call) reported by Dougal

The caller claimed to be from Foxtel and explained that this was a customer satisfaction survey. However, her questions were phrased in a way to prompt the answer "yes" several times and she ended the call without asking any meaningful questions whatsoever. Sadly, I did say "yes" in reply to her questions. I believe this was part of an attempt at a "replay attack". (Search it on Google.) The idea of this fraud is to collect personal details of the target and then capture a voice recording of the target saying "yes", which can be replayed to credit providers as authorisation for a transaction. I called the number back and it is only answered by a voice message claiming to be from "Prospect Direct". A Google search reveals no such company in Australia, although there is a company by this name in Texas, USA. I am now waiting to see whether unauthorised transactions appear on my credit card, or if someone tries to port my phone or raid my bank accounts.

I have missed several calls from this number and finally answered one today. The caller said she was from "Prospect Direct" and wanted to do a short lifestyle survey - I said no - she asked if she could arrange a call-back and I said no and she said goodbye.

Indian voice saying 'hello.. My name' and I could hear the call centre chatter in the background. 2 calls in 2 days. No idea where they got my number as I always provide a fake number to everything. Added to auto reject so now I just get voice mails.
