I rang Energy Australia and read out the above number and the lady on the other end said correct number. Yes, that is an Energy Australia's number. The reason for the call or for anyone for that matter was, that at a certain time Energy Australia checks your bills to see if there needs to be a discussion about changes to you paying your bill especially in instalments, like I'm doing. By doing this, and ringing them, you will have your payments adjusted to cover the monthly cost etc, in your cycle. It might go down or it might go up but this is where you ring to dupiscuss it and get it adjusted. Apparently, this will happen each 6 mths, you will hear from them. Hope that helps everyone concerned with the number and for me it really did sound like a robot call as their was no voice other than massive statics. Anyway. Hope this explanation helps.

I called energy Australia in regards of my account. They had me on hold as this number dialed through. Also another number. My phone provider recommended to block. Said they were cyber calls. Who do we trust n what do we believe. Is it energy Australia or not.

From our POV scam to get us to change provider (Unsolicited call) reported by SusanW

We are getting calls claiming that they can see we are using energy at our property but our account with them needs setting up. We're not with energy Australia and haven't been for at least a decade. Seems to be marketing scam to get people to inadvertently change electricity billing provider. I'm furious because, apart from annoying, their approach is deceptive to say the least. Have had no luck getting the calls to stop so far. Very happy with Powershop, would never go to Energy Australia!

This number comes from Melbourne, I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. Have missed calls from them on my mobile, was trying to dig some info on the internet before calling them back, but found nothing, no luck. People pls did someone answer this number, who is it?
