Asking first about my energy bills then asked about my National Meter Idnetifier (NMI), I asked where he got my number as I never requested to be contacted. I asked why he needs my NMI and he requested that I wait 5 minutes for his supervisor, then I hung up.

They have been calling me for the last 2 years on and off despite being told to stop. Claim that my number is associated with an Electricity account and can offer me a better service. They are calling me on a Skype work number, so it's definitely not associated with an energy account. They don;t know my name, have no details or my supposed service, etc. When challenged on this, they usually hang up. Get very defensive and even abusive when you tell them its a scam.

Caller asked if I was the decisionmaker in energy services. Instead of answering, I asked where she obtained my number, with "Australian Data Management" or similar as her answer. She started to go back into her spiel before I pointed out that was illegal under Australian Privacy Policy 2012, at which point she hung up.
