Just like others have said, I got an overseas call offering 6 months of discount on my Telstra service. The line was horrible quality and she had an accent (perhaps Indian). Evil scum.

Called me twice claiming to be my Telstra provider and that due to being such a great customer they were offering me 45% off for the next 6 months. I don't have a Telstra account so instant red flag for a scam but it was very difficult to hear and understand the woman through her heavy accent.

A call from people pretending to be Optus. They offer a discount but they need to “verify” they’re calling the right person. While talking to them they are trying to access your account using your number so you will receive a text from Optus with a code that they will then request you repeat back to them. Scam/Scum, do not answer or call back, do not give any information to them.
