You can actually call the number back (they have an answering service) and leave your own heartwarming message ;) If calling from a landline, block your own ID using 1831 before theirs. If calling from a mobile, block your ID using #31# before theirs.

Smart phone identified the call as potential fraud (I'm not sure if it's a Samsung or Optus feature). Number added to blocked callers. It looks as if all numbers in the range 03 9021 22xx are spam,scam or nuisance.

Claims to be a "community engagement" survey but did not identify themselves. First question asked me for my political affiliation -- again before even identifying themselves. Hung up and blocked them.

I believe it is harrassment even though they don't speak, a person could be ill, and get woken up by these calls. They should have more respect for people.

The do not call registry doesn't cover political survey calls. Pretty sure it only keeps you safe from commercial for profit marketing type calls

Agree, but politicians make the rules, and they aren't going to restrict themselves. But maybe the spam coming from Palmer might start making a difference
