This call is a genuine call from Optus, calling to chase up an outstanding bill, and arrange a payment arrangement. Some may want to avoid this mob, but in the end, the next step is suspension of the account. I did find the Asian woman to be quite rude.

This number called and asked if they are speaking to 'my name'. Stupidly enough I said yes. Can't wait to see what scam did I get myself into.

Claimed they were from optus (Scam call) reported by


They rang and said they were from optus collections, however i knew my bills were up to date! so i rang optus directly afterwards to confirm and they said it would only go to collections if there were restrictions. what was scary they knew my outstanding amount and tried to get me to pay my my credit card. but the alert was they did not know my email address to send the bill and when i asked them to do that they told me they would but it takes up to 3 days because they have to order it from accounts. Optus confirmed on the phone that my account was not with collections!

Claiming to be 'Optus' calling to collect debt from phone bill, whenever you don't answer they spam call you, i got 18 called in 3 days. Call back and ask for the manager and they keep you on hold for 10 minutes until you hang up. Block them.

Lady from Optus called and told me that I owe money on a bill that I don't actually owe I hung up and called Optus to confirm and was told that I do not know anything and they have no record of this call

This number must be part of the range of numbers dedicated to the same call centre - I can see more similar numbers of the same range 3909306xx reported here already, so far as I can see on internet with Probe debt collection agency (The Probe Group) or Alinta Electricity & Gas Credit Department. People did they call you with something new, new scope?
