Indian call centre posing as Australian. Indian said his name was Jason. when I asked a few questions, he said that he is calling from Australia, he is living here for 4 years and legally changed his name to better blend in. In the background I could hear dozens of voices speaking in English and Indian. They are trying to sell something to do with electricity.

I answered, said "Hello", and an automated tone said goodbye. I've had this guy call many times, and I assure you, he IS a nuisance.

I got the same thing too. I said "Hello?", and in a computerised voice it said, "goodbye" and hung up.

So RUDE, 'Simply Better Deals'. The adviser explained that he was calling from a non-energy company but would like to check my energy bill so that he could compare mine with others and would tell me if I was getting the right discount or not. I told him I wasn't interested in giving any of the information and would like to hang up. But he kept insisted and not letting me go. After 4 min. of argument, he just hung up on me with a big sigh. What the hell.

I had exactly same crap, apparently I am entitled to discounts on my bills etc etc... I asked: " how do u know I pay the bills" She says "so its not u who pay the bills..." I said: "I dont pay any bills of any kind" So she hanged up
