Caller stated that I had been in a traffic accident. I said no I haven't. He said somebody I know? I said yes my mum was hit driving to bingo. From here it got a bit silly. Took him 2:34 seconds to hang up.

Lady said she was from insurance company and asked if I'd had a accident in the last six months. I asked how she got my number and was told she was following up on the advice from third party. I made sure that I didn't answer with a Yes or No answer. I had been warned scammers were using voice recognition to apply for loans and credit with it. She then asked me if anyone in my family had a accident.

Asked if I had been in a car accident recently, when I asked how they got my details they advised they use 'several different agencies and brokers'. When I asked them which agencies specifically they advised that is confidential information. I advised my information is confidential and would not be disclosed to a third party without being advised first. I told caller I believed it was a scam call and they should be ashamed of themselves praying on innocent people and they hung up. Called number back and spoke to another person who again hung up as soon as I mentioned the word scam.

I asked what the call was about. They asked again if I was involved in car accident. Then they stated my number had been linked to a car accident in past two years. I haven’t had vehicle accident so I asked again what the call was regarding, at which point they hung up. Very noisy background.
