Received a call from this number about me or a family member being in an accident 12 months ago. Apparently from the claims department verifying the accident. Asked quite a few questions but only got yes or no answers. Eventually the call ended.

Not the first time I've had "Legal Assist" call ... You've had a car accident ... blah blah blah ... pretty sure I'd remember that, fella! It's a mobile, not registered to a business AND there's a major echo on the line ... I can hear myself repeating down the line.

Scam Call from a Jay in Legal Assist (Scam call) reported by


Received a call a few mins ago who introduced him as Jay from legal assist. Without much pause, went straight to the script question "Have you had an accident in the last 2 years?" I insisted on knowing the source and he said got it from a survey team. They knew my full name and number. He then hurried onto his script question, while we did to and fro about the information source. We both were a little agitated by now, and he said "I dont know who provided it! One of your family member or friend!" and I said "Alright, just my name and number with no other accident details, why should I talk to you, who are you?!" at which point he hung up

I said I wouldn't verify anything and asked how they got my information. Couldn't give me a straight answer. I asked that they never call me again, and to take my number off the list. SCAM

Said she was from legal assist. Indian accent. Claimed I had been in a car accident in the last 3 years and was owed compensation. Called her a scammer and she became abusive.

The Indian gentleman who called asked if I had been in an accident recently and wanted to claim an injury. When I asked how he got my number he skirted around the topic and mentioned a survey team. I immediately hung up and blocked the caller.
