Voicemail message left 07/04/2017 10:20am (Indian/Pakistan descent, male): --ATO we are calling today as there is as law enforcement action that has been started on your name regarding tax fraud and tax evasion... Commonwealth action will ensue (i.e., arrest charges). Don't disregard this message... The urgency in this message created such duress, even though it does not apply to anyone in the household, nor make any sense. No specific name was ever given. Vague but threatening message. CAUTION.

I have done nothing wrong so I knew it was a scam. Though probably ill advised, I rang them and asked them not to call me again as I knew it was a scam. This is only because it was the second message they'd left on my answering machine today and getting the number blocked will probably take some time.

ATO scam (Scam call) reported by Jane

A guy called Wayne called claiming to be a legal representative of ATO with charges against me on Tax evation etc. He wanted my personal details to confirm it was me etc. I cut the call and called ATO directly and they confirmed no affiliations with that number. Please do not give personal information out to this number.

IGNORING

I have 2 voicemail messages from a very aggressive man saying before I get arrested for tax fraud or tax evasion to call them. The number they are calling isn't public or registered so no one should have it attached to a person. this is ridiculous and evil! who else can you report it too?
