Rang here to our office. Hung up when I answered. Seems dodgy to me. A genuine Fairfax/AFR sales person wouldn't hang up on someone answering the phone.

Spam call, never leave a message hang up on me when I picked up the call! Block them already, I wish we could reverse charge them for all these spam calls!

Seems to be some call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range - 07560984xx, just last 2 digits different) reported here already. No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it?

I answered it..
THey said they were from the Australian Financial Review and we're offering a digital subscription (mine had lapsed) at half price problem is, they can only sign up over the phone - with a credit card, which, of course, I declined.
Does seem odd that Fairfax couldn't be a little more tech savvy for sign-up offers (if this was legit).
