I got scammed $5,900 (Scam call) reported by


Hello my name is Grettle and I am 67 years old The people from this phone number (08 6117 3825) gave me a call and said my late husband owed them money and they said if I did not pay, they would charge me a 50% penalty fee on the amount. They told me it would be taken from my superannuation. I asked to speak to their manager and they put me onto a man named Steve. Steve was threatening me and said if I don't pay I'll lose everything. I was scared. They gave me an account number to pay and I send them $5,150 (Australian Dollars). I was very afraid because my husband recently passed away and I wrote a letter to him, in the local newspaper with my full name. Steve said if I didn't pay the money I would be charged an extra $2,500 next month. I paid them. But then they hung up on me. They gave me a Reference Number and said an invoice would be sent to me. No invoice arrived. I spoke to my granddaughter about this and she told me it was most likely a scam. I am so upset with myself, I've lost everything in life. I don't have any will to live anymore. Why would they scam me? I always donate to charity and I took in a homeless person for a week and fed him with my husband in 2013. Please don't make the same mistake I did Grettle

A person with Indian accent from netgraphtechnologies trying to recruit as a project manager. Asking about $800 security deposit for online training. I'm a Project manager but first offered a Business Analyst job when I refused offered Java Developer job again I refused, then offered a PM job. Accepted whatever salary I asked and then said that I've to go for an online training which they are not going to charge any fees but I've to deposit $800 into a Westpac account as a security for the training as security. Then I got an email from them offering 170K salary with 20%increment every 6 months and health benefits etc. The Perth address on their website is an empty office space advertised for lease. https://www.realcommercial.com.au/property-offices-wa-perth-502035750 Looks like a Scam to me, please don't get trapped without proper assessment.
