How many robocalls will you receive in 2020?

According to TechCrunch, the number of spam calls has grown by 18 % globally in 2019. And it’s even worse in United States. The volume of robocalls made in USA increased by 35 % in 2019. The FTC also received 5.7 million complaints about robocalls and live spam phone calls last year.
Stiffer fines for robocallers
Luckily, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. At least for Americans. Few days ago, president Donald Trump signed a bill that increases fines on criminal robocall violations and cracks down on companies making the calls, as part of a federal push against telephone scammers. The legislation imposes stiffer fines (of as much as $10,000 per call) on robocallers who knowingly flout the rules on calls. It also instructs the FCC to develop further regulations that could shield consumers from unwanted calls.
