If you press one it sends you to speak with someone who has strong indian or pakistani accent and will be telling you that you will be arrested and blah blah... You can hang up but they will call you again using another number. If you speak to them be firm don't share anything but ask them as many questions as possible so at least you can find out what exactly they know. With me ...only knew name and phone number... didn't know anything else. Thx god.

Got called by this number 3 times. They use words like "tax ID" and "your name" but don't actually provide specific personal information. This is obviously a scam since the ATO will call you in person if you actually are being accused of something.

Asked my full name , my suburb and Medicare number. Told them I need a translator and they will call me back with the translator!!I told I am not sure is it is scam and he gave me his full name and his desk ref number:M16273 Mr. Mike Durmer , a middle aged man with Indian accent.
