Sydney fixed number so I answered assuming it was a client. Robocall saying my Tax File number had been stolen. As I quickly hung up I heard the request to 'Press 1' which I didn't do. Deep Australian recorded male voice. Clearly fraud once I answered. Was preceded by a call half an hour earlier to my mobile phone from the Cayman Islands - +1 (345)980-4619 which I didn't answer.

Initially it was a robo call stating it was Services Australia and my TFN had been suspended for fraudulent activity and I would be arrested if I didn't proceed with the call. I pressed number 1 and a person answered and asked for my name and postcode. He then said suspicious activity had occurred in VIC and NSW and he would need my date of birth to discuss matters further. When I said I didn't want to give my date of birth because I wasn't convinced that this wasn't a scam, he hung up on me.

Just another robocall: "This is the Australian Taxation office - you have unpaid taxes, which are overdue. A warrant will be issued for your arrest if you do not immediately pay your taxes - Press 1 to speak with an operator" - Lol, good luck.
