indian descented person trying to get my info by saying one in my household has gotten to an accident in past 2 years. I said "you are a scammer, why don't you do something good for the world instead of doing calls ike these" the person responded vaguely.... I had one from allegedly ATO, another one was from a bank supposedly, one who claimed my computer was affected by some virus...... Its getting out of control. Time wasters. What will our young generations be when they are in their 40s and 50s? I bet you there is a lot of OLDER people who are not savvy get affected by these scammers.

Scam call. They phone to talk to me about an auto accident. Hard to understand the lady who called but definitely a scam. I have had an increase in scam calls of late so wondering who has sold my number.

The first time they called I was worried my husband had been in some sort of traffic accident. Imstarted asking some questions and it was obvious they were not Australians as they had no idea traffic was a state by state responsibility so I hung up. Now if they call I ignore the call if. Notice their number before answering or hang up as soon as I hear it's a busy call centre ( lots of voices in the back ground and hesitation from the caller) and they say they are from some non existent road and traffic accident authority.

Lady called to assist with an accident we had been involved in, asked who they were and they hung up. Called the number back and could not be connected... Must be run by dumb and bummer.

They start off by saying they are from the accident squad, so you atomatically think someone you know has had an accident. They will help you claim for an accident that you have had in the past two years. (Have not had one)

It's really simple. just play along, with Biro and paper in hand, and just make up lies as you go , e.g. you name , D.O.B, SCENE OF ACCIDENT etc, in relation to their question's, so when they ask again you have everything on paper and don't forget. : I used to get really angry and very abusive [which i really enjoy !!!!! ], now I play along and waist their time with lies and BS, Try it it's great fun, especially when you can hear their cog's grinding away trying to work out if they have the wrong number or person, [ BUT NEVER CONFIRM ANY OF YOUR DETAILS- JUST FEED THEM A LINE THAT THE PERSON THERE LOOKING FOR SHIFTED OUT LAST YEAR AND YOUR THE NEW TENANT - AND NOT OWNER !
