I didn't hear the call cos it was on my Aus phone & I am in UK where it was 3am. However, IF it is about a Toyota it is a scam because I sold mine 3 months ago & no longer have Roadside Assist in Aus.

I fear they are recording my name for voice identification purposes. It was an Aussie female voice saying it was Wesfarmers calling then she said my given names. Stupidly I gave my full name then she hung up straight away!

My phone rang. I did not recognised the number but I was annoyed so I answered sternly with 'Yes'. There was silence and they hung up. I have blocked the call and suggest people do the same for every hoax/scam/unsolicited call. Naked an entry in your contacts saying 'Blocked and the phone number' then in the notes section write whether it was s insurance, electricity, funeral, survey etc and be firm and ask them exactly how to spell the name of the company they are calling on behalf of. Once blocked you will have no more contact.

As soon as I picked up, the female voice asking "Is this (my name) then she ask me to clarify my detail." I asked her "what's this about?" She said very quickly finance company she's calling from. When I ask her to speak slower to say her company, she said "don't worry about it."
