Commonwealth fraudulent department. not a scam. credit card was trying to be used overseas and they blocked it. issued with a new credit card.

Legit call from CBA fraud dept to let me know my card was being used for suspicious transactions, cancelled my card and disputed charges. Called CBA's customer service line (132221) after speaking with them and they confirmed it was legitimate and that my CC had been cancelled and a new one would be sent out.

The number was initially by an automated system, but I was transferred to an operator from CBA who walked me through my credit card replacement due to a fraudulent transaction from overseas. I've confirmed subsequently that this call was definitely not a scam.

I received a call from this number after the commonwealth bank sent me a message asking if I had made a transaction on a certain website and I replied with NO. I was told someone had my account details and was attempting to make purchases. They asked for the standard information asked for by the commonwealth bank phone staff (name, date of birth, address). After she issued me a new card I was still scared it was a scam so I called the commonwealth bank call centre on their normal number 132221 and spoke to an operator who confirmed everything and could see I had been issued a new card and my old one had been stopped

*NOT SCAM* I received a text message asking if I had attempted using uber and to respond yes or no depending if I had or not... As soon as I responded No I had a call from this number which I didn't answer and they left a voice message. They then tried to call again a few minutes later. I listened to the voice message and they stated that they were from Commonwealth Bank and that they believe someone has access to my card details and I must call them immediately. I did ring them as I was concerned as I did have a transaction on my account that I didn't make. I spoke to a lady who said my card needs to be replaced and that I will have a new one sent sometime in the next week. I was worried after reading threads about this number so I called Commonwealth Bank who assured me that it was a legitimate call and told me the ladies name who I had spoke to and then basically told me the same thing that lady who originally called me had said. So from my experience this is definitely not a scam and you could have someone attempting to use your card.
