Survey for charities (Survey) reported by Thermite

The caller stated that the company was doing marketing surveys for charities to find out how they were viewed by the public. She asked me if I would consent to finding out how I viewed specific charities from a list (would donate, may donate, would not donate). I specifically asked her if my personal details (name, phone number etc) would be passed along to any charities for them to call me later and ask for money. She stated that nothing would be passed along to the charities about me. So I did the survey. Within 5 days of doing the survey I started getting phone calls from the charities that I was asked about asking for me by name. I told each one of these charities that I since they got my information from a deceptive marketing company that I would not donate anything to them no matter the cause. I stated that they should contact their survey company about their deceptive marketing practices and not use them in any future marketing. I said that I give my money anonymously to charities specifically to avoid begging letters and calls asking for money from charities I do not want to give money to. All that happens with charities that you give your information to when donating is that they pass it along to other charities who then call you asking for money.

Don't bother answering this number, just add it straight to the blocklist. They are wasting your time and likely just going to share your info with other known scammers to harass you day in day out. It's very likely an operator from overseas where the short arm of the law cannot stop them.

This mob have rung me several times seeking with a "survey" which seems to be no more than a data base building exercise for them. The information they have is from the phone book and they seem to want to confirm it.

Asked all kinds of questions about street ... suburb ... then asked me to spell and pronounce my name... when I refused the reply was... “she didn’t deserve to be treated like this”.. I hung up
