A fast speaking male, American accent, said we should call a retail lawyer 02 81032012 to avoid conviction. Cannot believe that some people actually call. A friend also got a call regarding her tax, all a scam.

2 calls received over 2 nights - same caller - he said there is a warrant for my arrest, for Tax fraud and mail returned unsigned - asked to call the number or get a retail Lawyer to call - What is a retail Lawyer I ask - I am a little over these idiots

This is the third one for me this year ,,first two was an English sounding accent but today's one was Indian ,, phone number the same though , this one said the registers letter sent to me has been returned unsigned so an arrest warrant has now been lodged against me lol !! Do these muppets actually think we are that stupid !! Scavengers !! Ignore them guys hopefully no one gets caught by these thieving pricks

like the others had a message on answering machine saying we were under investigation for ato about tax fraud and we need to get a lawyer and ring 0281032012 asap. also said they had returned mail from our address and a warrant for arrest will be processed soon. It was a male indian voice. This happened on 3rd June

Message left on my answering machine saying I was facing serious charges for tax evasion and to ring 0281032012 as soon as possible or face legal action. Very arrogant Indian male who claimed to be at Australian Tax Office headquarters but referred several times to the ITO not ATO. Also said 'have a blessed day' at the end of the message. I'm sure this is a scam but for what reason? I'm a law abiding citizen and want to know how these people access private home numbers with threatening messages. Please check it out and shut them down.

I have had the same message from this number twice left on my answer machine. And on another call from same number i was home to take call but is was the same recorded message. I called back and spoke to some male who to me sounded Indian. Saying they wanted my tax file number as i owe money and the ATO are going to take legal action. I can tell you this now i do not owe money to any one. I would love to write what i said to him but i cant as from a lady it does not sound good The number was 0281032012

Female Maybe Indian voice left message stating there is a case out against my name (didnt state my name) for Tax Evasion/Fraud mentioned they are from IQ Headquarters (gave a case number) and a arrest warrant is about to be issued. They are very threatening and intimidating but ITS A SCAM! The ATO dont operate in this way!

Had a call stating I going to jail for Tax Fraud. Correct the ATO do not operate like this. I would love to get hold of these pricks.

As above but loud male voice (american accent) recording quoting the above number to be called back. Appeared to hear my voice. As above, some crap about a tax or legal charge. Happened on the 14th Dec 2015.
