I had complained about a refund - this was the number that came up when they returned my call. I was suspicious but they seemed legit. It was clearly the Philippines - an outsourced call centre working for Telstra.

I did not know who was calling but answered as they called immediately a second time. It turned out to be a call I was expecting from Telstra about a query I had RE: Telstra Plus points. Good outcome.

On or about the 16th Oct 2020 I redemed 20000 points to purchase a battery back up to my modem. This was despatched to the wrong address, which was retrieved from Startrack. I have since contacted Telstra and after 5 hours trying to get through I finally was told that it would be resent and I would receive it within 5 days. Today I received a call from 02 82910000 stating that they would refund my 20000 points and I could reorder the device for 25000 points. I was eventually told that they would give me an extra 5000 points to make up the difference. As it was not my fault, as the address was wrong. The device will now be sent to me, however before this is done my driver licence details are required. Si ce this was not required for the origial purchase, why is it required now. I requested to speak to her Supervisor and was repeated refused. I asked to speak to her manager and was also refused. Since I would not comply with giving out my driver license details, I was informed that I would receive a telephone call from her Supervisor within 24 hours. I do not understand why I need to supply my Driver licence as proof of who I am, as they already have all the details required to send the item to me at 6 Wharf court, Sale 3850. Your early response would be appreciated.
