Caller with a British accent rang me (got my name wrong, mind) to ask if I was involved in a car accident in the last 2 years then asked if it was someone else in my household when I said no. When I said no he said he'd take my details off the system and then hung up without ending the call properly.

I also received the same call from a man with British accent. He knew my name and despite me saying I hadn't been involved in accident in the past 24months, he insisted his records showed that SOMEONE in my family had. He suddenly hung up.

Caller rang me to tell me that I was involved in a car acident in the past 2 years. The man could not give me any details about the accident or even the registration number on my vehicle. All very dodgy and a complete waste of time. The caller also said they were calling from Melbourne when the phone number was a Sydney Number.

Got a call from this number saying I'd been involved in an accident in the past 3 months and they would help me sue the other party involved. Interesting as I have lived in Melbourne for the past 30 years and haven't ever owned a car- told her she had the wrong number and hung up. She immediately called back saying i'd hung up on her, patiently explained I haven't ever owned a car so I couldn't be involved in an accident, she then proceeded to tell me it was a car that hit me walking on the footpath- um, pretty sure I'd remember being run over by a car- turns out Telstra sold my number, as they tell us in the fine print, but for $20 per month I could have my number not sold anymore, why?? Some days

Call from this number at 11:28am on 23/8/16. Female with british accent. Gave me my name and told me she was calling about a car accident I had within the last 12 months. I asked for the date of collision. She said she didn't have that information. I asked for the registration details of the car involved. She didn't have that information. She said her name was Sasha and the company was called 'Esure'. She said it was an Australian company based at Elizabeth Drive in Sydney. I asked for the ABN. She said it was 75327029476. No such company exists. This is clearly a scam.

Voice sounded like Manchester accent, told me records indicate I was involved in a minor accident in the last 2 years. When I suggested the call was illegal, I was told I could waste my time making an ACCC report if I wanted, but they are 100% legitimate and only want to help!! For that read "annoy". Wish I had strung him along... "the accident with the chicken, or the one with the pig?"

Have called my mobile twice. Can hardly understand what they are saying, Heavy Indian type of accent. They are ringing saying I or a family member have been in a car accident. After saying and then insisting no one has they hang up.

They call me like 2 times a day talking about a follow up service, I usually don't even pick up but I did once and then I started intimidating by talking weird and slow and they were being really rude back, the follow up service is 'a traffic accident in the last two years' despite me not being in one, neither can they provide me with my address or name, these guys are clearly scammers and should already have their phone line cut!
